According to a recent study, a majority of Chinese citizens are concerned about climate change and have already experienced its wrath with this summer's heatwaves, typhoons etc. in urban and rural China. A survey in 2017 indicates that almost 95 % Chinese said that climate change is taking place, out of which 66 % agree with human actions as the primary reason for climate change. According to the survey, rising air pollution has raised awareness on the issue of climate change. Air pollution is viewed as closely linked with climate change and also as the factor accounted as the biggest climate risk.
