The industrialisation of prefabricated ultra-low energy buildings is one of the main steps in the transformation and upgrading of China's construction industry, and it is also one of the key areas supported by the Sino-German Urbanisation Partnership Project (SGUP). On September 19th, 2018, the "2018 Xiongan New Area Ultra-Low Energy Building International Forum" was held at the Citizen Service Center of Xiongan New Area, Hebei Province, which is the first completed prefabricated ultra-low energy building project in Xiongan.
Relevant national and international leaders, experts, scholars and entrepreneurs from the construction industry attended the forum and shared their experience on the ultra-low energy practice and development, ultra-low-energy building standards, technologies and practice, and the industrialisation development of prefabricated ultra-low energy buildings. As an important part of this main forum, the sub-forum “The Industrialisation Development of Prefabricated Ultra-Low Energy Buildings” focused on technical solutions and Xiongan’s practice of prefabricated ultra-low energy buildings. The exchange centered around the contribution of energy efficiency in the building sector to reach the overall goals of energy saving, as well as the contribution of prefabricated buildings to develop the construction sector more sustainably.
The sub-forum was organised by China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) Co., Ltd., and also supported by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
